Almost all of the daily dose is mullein extract itself. Of the 4.5 mL taken each day, 4.05 mL is Verbascum thapsus flower liquid extract, derived from 4.05 g of dried flower - the remainder being glycerol and the alcohol that carries it, at 22.5% v/v.
Stating that alcohol figure plainly is useful, because it is the number that makes liquid herbal products comparable with one another and the thing most people want to know before they buy.
The taste is floral rather than bitter. Shake the bottle, then use the measured dropper to take 2.25 mL twice daily, either straight onto the tongue or diluted in 30 mL of water or juice and drunk immediately, with a glass of water afterwards if you prefer.
