It is solid in the tin and melts on contact with warm fingers, which is the way to use it - warm a small amount, then press it into clean, slightly damp skin rather than trying to spread it dry.

Five ingredients: 100% grass-fed tallow with organic olive oil and organic jojoba oil, and lemon and lavender essential oils for the scent. Tallow's fatty-acid profile is close to that of human skin oils, which is why it sinks in quickly and finishes soft rather than sitting on top as a greasy film, and it naturally carries vitamins A, D, E and K.

One tin covers a lot of ground: face, body, lips, cuticles, elbows, heels, any patch that has gone dry. Plenty of people keep it for night use, when a denser balm has hours to work and nothing has to be applied over the top of it. The aroma is light - citrus over the top, lavender underneath - and fades quickly.

Made in Australia from grass-fed, ethically sourced tallow, in a plastic-free tin you can reuse. Patch test before the first use, keep it somewhere cool so it holds its texture, and note that it is for external use only.

Directions

Warm a small amount between your fingertips and gently massage into clean, slightly damp skin. Apply as needed to dry areas or use daily as a face and body moisturiser.
