4N sits in the middle of the brown range - a natural medium brown with a neutral base and enough warmth to avoid looking flat. It covers grey and holds its depth as it grows out rather than fading to a brassy tone.
The kit runs to five parts: a Clarify Shampoo to strip residue before you start, the colour gel, a Colour Fix, then a Hydrate Organic Shampoo and Conditioner to finish. Over 75% of the ingredients are certified organic and natural, and the fragrance across all five is 100% natural aromatics, so the whole process is close to odourless compared with a conventional dye.
It is ammonia free, resorcinol free and paraben free. Organic aloe vera leaf, comfrey leaf and chamomile flower extracts run through the products, with hydrolysed wheat protein, panthenol, shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, green tea leaf and vitamin E doing the conditioning work - the reason coloured hair comes out smooth and elastic rather than dry.
