Fresh, herbaceous and unmistakably camphoraceous — rosemary essential oil has one of the more recognisable scents in the aromatherapy cabinet. This is a 100% organic single-note oil, with nothing blended in.
A few drops in a diffuser or oil burner fills a room quickly, and it is concentrated enough that the label's recommended amount is worth sticking to. It also works diluted into a carrier oil for hair, scalp or massage blends, though it should always be mixed down first and patch tested rather than used neat.
