Lucas Papaw Ointment 15g

Fermented Carica papaya fresh fruit, 39mg per gram, is the active ingredient in this TGA-listed ointment — a formula Dr Thomas Lucas developed in Brisbane over a century ago and which has stayed unchanged since. The papaws are hand-selected from Far North Queensland and fermented in a patented process in the Brisbane factory.

It's used as a local topical application for minor burns, sunburn and scalds, gravel rash, cuts and minor open wounds, nappy rash and chafing, splinters and thorns, and for temporary relief of the symptoms of dermatitis and eczema. Its buttery, soft texture also makes it a popular lip balm, small enough to keep in a bag or purse.

Contains no sodium lauryl sulphate, palm oil or glycerine. Non-allergenic and non-comedogenic, suitable for the whole family, made in Australia and compliant with Australian, European Pharmacopeia and FDA standards.
