This is the strong end of styling - a glue rather than a cream, for spikes, sharp texture and edges that need to hold their shape all day. It works best on short to medium hair, where there is enough length to sculpt and not so much that the weight pulls it down.
The hold comes from microcrystalline wax, ozokerite and VP/VA copolymer, with glycerin, shea butter and panthenol keeping it from going brittle. What stops it flaking or going dull is that pliability: styles stay reworkable rather than setting hard, and it rinses out in a normal wash without leaving residue.
Underneath the styling ingredients is a long list of USDA certified organic botanical extracts - achillea millefolium, althaea officinalis root, chamomile, equisetum arvense, soybean seed, hypericum perforatum, lavender, rosemary leaf, sage leaf, clary, thymus serpillum, coltsfoot flower and nettle - along with tocopheryl acetate and a fragrance that includes essential oils.
