Grown in Wyoming, USA, by contracted growers who haven't planted wheat, rye or barley on their land for at least two years, using harvesters kept only for non-gluten crops. Each field gets walked at least six times through the growing season to check for any volunteer glutinous plants coming up on their own. That's the process behind GF Oats' ACO certified organic, 1kg pack.

The oats come from the growers' own heritage seed stock, giving them a roasted, creamy flavour, and they're milled on a shelf-stable line free of the top 8 allergens. This brand is part of the Purity Oats group of growers, with nil-gluten test results published on the compliance page.

One labelling note: under current Australian food labelling laws, a product containing oats can't be called "gluten-free" here, even when it tests to nil gluten — so these are described as gluten friendly, tested to nil gluten, rather than gluten-free.
