Calendula is the key active here - the organic flower extract that gives the shampoo its name - and it is the reason to pick this shampoo over the rest of the Dr Organic range if your scalp is the part that gives you trouble.
The base is water and aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder with glycerin, cocamidopropyl betaine and sea salt, and there are two oils carried through it: organic sunflower seed oil and meadowfoam seed oil. It lathers properly and rinses clean without leaving hair squeaky or stripped, and the scent is a light floral rather than a perfume.
Massage it into wet hair and scalp, work up the lather, rinse thoroughly, and repeat if you want a second wash. The matching Calendula conditioner follows on if you use one.
The formula is 98% natural origin and 10% organic, free from parabens, SLS, mineral oils and artificial fragrances, and it is vegan and cruelty free in recyclable packaging. Mild enough for daily use. The 265 mL bottle is best used within twelve months of opening.

Directions
Massage shampoo into wet hair and scalp, lather well, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired. For best results, follow with Dr Organic Calendula Conditioner.
