Product Overview

Pacific Harvest Nori Flakes 60g is a refill box of air-dried seaweed for sprinkling into meals or using as a finishing garnish. Made from 100% nori, it suits cooks who want the seaweed itself rather than a sesame and spice blend. The loose flakes can go directly into rice, eggs, salads and soups, giving you a different format from the sheets used to wrap sushi.

Nori has a delicate, papery texture and a flavour that changes with the way you serve it. Dry flakes have tea-like or mushroomy notes; roasting brings out a nutty character, while moisture gives them a mild anchovy-like taste. Those savoury notes come from the seaweed itself. The ingredient is Porphyra umbilicalis, with no sesame, garlic or chilli blended into the recipe, so you can choose the other flavours in your dish separately.

Add the flakes during cooking or scatter them over food just before serving. Try them with scrambled eggs, a bowl of rice, a vegetable stir-fry or a soup, or use a little to finish pasta, pizza and seafood. They can also be included in savoury baking or paired with nuts and seeds. If roasting, take care: nori is delicate and can burn under intense heat. The 60g refill format is useful for topping up a smaller container while keeping the remaining flakes sealed in a cool, dry cupboard.

This is wild-harvested seaweed, so check for natural foreign matter before use. May contain crustaceans, fish and molluscs. Seaweed naturally contains iodine, and excessive consumption may exceed recommended daily dietary intakes and have adverse effects; follow the serving directions on the current pack. Seal securely after opening and store away from direct sunlight. Protecting the flakes from moisture helps preserve their dry texture between uses.
