Product Overview

Lactase enzyme (4,000 FCC units), sourced from Aspergillus, is the working ingredient here, on a base of dextrose and microcrystalline cellulose with natural mint flavour. Taken just before consuming dairy, the enzyme temporarily boosts the level of lactase in the digestive system so lactose can be broken down naturally, providing relief from the gas, bloating, cramps and diarrhoea that come with lactose intolerance.

One to three tablets, chewed or swallowed whole, depending on the level of intolerance — most adults find two tablets enough. Lacteeze stays active in the digestive system for around an hour, so a further dose is needed if more dairy is eaten after that. Formulated for children over 12 and adults with mild to moderate lactose intolerance, and safe during pregnancy.

Contains 300mg of glucose per tablet. Free from artificial preservatives and colours, eggs, gluten, dairy and nuts. Not to be used in the management of dairy allergies.

Directions

Simply chew or swallow 1-3 tablets just before consuming dairy. For most adults 2 tablets are sufficient, but you can adjust the dose to suit your individual needs. Take every time you consume dairy products. For young children, you may want to crush the tablet in a little bit of water or jam if the child doesn't like chewing tablets. Lacteeze remains in your digestive system for about one hour (slightly less in children). If you want to consume more dairy after this time, repeat the dose.

Storage

Does not need to be refrigerated. Store at room temperature (not more than 35°C). Do not freeze.

Warnings

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist consult your healthcare practitioner. Product contains 300mg of glucose per tablet. Not to be used in the management of dairy allergies. If diarrhoea persists for more than: 6 hours in infants under 6 months; 12 hours in children under 3 years; 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years, seek medical advice.
