Product Overview

Gelatin Health Gelatin Food Grade is a clean, unflavoured bovine gelatin powder made from premium Australian beef — ideal when you want reliable “set” and silky texture without added flavours, colours or fillers. It’s the classic pantry workhorse for jellies, gummies, panna cotta, marshmallows, cheesecake bases, and thickening sauces that need that glossy, restaurant-style finish.

Because it’s a true gelling gelatin (not hydrolysed collagen), it sets liquids as they cool. That makes it perfect for batch-prepping lunchbox gummies, firm slices, or simply stabilising desserts so they hold shape cleanly when cut. The neutral taste also means it disappears into savoury cooking — think richer gravies, soups with more body, or pan sauces that cling properly.

Sourced from Australian beef, this food-grade gelatin is free from sugar and fat, with no added colours or additives, and it’s commonly chosen by shoppers wanting a straightforward ingredient list and a versatile protein-based thickener in one bag. It’s also a handy “bulk value” pick in the 1kg size for regular cooks, bakers, and anyone making gummies weekly.

Sustainability & certifications: Gelatin Health’s food-grade gelatin is produced from Australian cattle inputs (using parts that would otherwise be waste in the food chain), and is positioned as an additive-free, allergen-conscious pantry ingredient. It’s also listed as Halal certified and kosher compliant on brand technical data.

How to use

For jellies / gummies / panna cotta (best-practice “bloom” method):

  1. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon gelatin over 3–4 tablespoons cold water in a small bowl (don’t dump in a clump).
  2. Let it sit 5–10 minutes to “bloom” (hydrate).
  3. Warm gently (microwave a few seconds or over low heat) until fully dissolved.
  4. Stir into your warm liquid mixture, pour into moulds, then refrigerate 2+ hours to set.

Tip: use less for a softer set, more for a firmer set.

For sauces / soups:

  • Bloom first (as above), then whisk into hot liquid near the end of cooking to add body and a silky finish.

For everyday use in hot drinks / recipes:

  • Mix into a small paste with room-temp water first, then stir into a hot drink or hot food so it dissolves smoothly.
