Made from konjac plant fibre, with charcoal worked through this variant, this facial sponge starts firm out of the packet and needs a soak in water before first use — it softens into something genuinely gentle once fully hydrated, rather than staying stiff. From there it's used wet, with or without your usual cleanser, moved over the skin with light pressure.
It's reusable rather than disposable: rinse it out after each use, squeeze the excess water out gently without wringing or twisting hard, and let it air dry somewhere ventilated between uses. If it dries out firm again before the next routine, a quick soak brings it back to a soft, usable texture.
Replace it once it starts breaking down or no longer feels right to use on skin.
