Plant sterols are the active ingredient here — 1g of vegetable oil phytosterol esters per red soft gel capsule, with a small amount of betacarotene alongside. Phytosterols work by reducing how much cholesterol the intestine absorbs from food, which is the mechanism behind maintaining healthy cholesterol levels rather than a broader tonic effect.

Two capsules a day, taken with food, is the routine — one in the morning, one in the evening, generally alongside meals so the sterols are present when dietary cholesterol is being absorbed. Sixty capsules in the box covers a month at that dose.

Directions
