A lip balm built around organic manuka honey, whose purifying properties are what set it apart from ordinary honey — its active ingredient, methylglyoxal, is rich in antioxidants and lends the honey its purifying ability for skin and hair. Here it is worked into a balm alongside castor seed oil and shea butter to promote hydration and help heal chapped lips, with SPF 15 protection built in.

Beeswax and candelilla and carnauba waxes give the balm its texture and help form a barrier on the lips, useful in cold or windy weather, while jojoba seed oil, argan kernel oil and sunflower seed wax round out the moisturising side, with tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) included too.

It is made with organic, natural ingredients and is free from parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, synthetic colours, mineral oil, DEA, BHT and isothiazolinones. Packaging is recycled and recyclable, within FSC-certified card, using ocean-bound recycled plastic where possible. The range is vegetarian and cruelty-free — nothing is tested on animals, by Dr Organic or on their behalf.
