No tape, no refills, nothing to throw away. These brushes work by electrostatic action - the rubber bristles attract hair and lint and lift it out of the fibres, and when they are full you rinse them under the tap and start again. A lint roller runs out; these do not.
Two brushes come in the pack. The large one covers ground quickly on couches, rugs and car interiors; the smaller handheld one is for clothes, cushions and quick touch-ups before you leave the house. The bristles are flexible enough to work into carpet pile and upholstery, and gentle enough for delicate fabrics and bedding.
Technique matters a little. Short, firm strokes in one direction lift the surface hair; brushing in several directions loosens what is embedded deeper in the weave. Afterwards, rinse under running water or wash with mild soap, then let the bristles air dry before the next use.
