Abode Laundry Liquid Blue Mallee Eucalyptus

Blue Mallee eucalyptus is a distinctly Australian smell, sharp and clean, and here it comes from the pure essential oil rather than a synthetic fragrance. Washing dried on the line carries a trace of it without the heavy perfume most supermarket detergents leave behind.

The formula is plant based and concentrated: 30 mL for a front loader, 60 mL for a top loader, a little more for heavily soiled loads. It works in hot and cold cycles, so there is no need to adjust for a cold wash, and it handles everyday clothing, towels and household linen.

Being free of harsh chemicals, it suits sensitive skin and allergy sufferers - though the eucalyptus oil means it is not fragrance free, so anyone reacting to scent entirely would want the Zero version instead.

This is the 15 L drum, which at 30 mL a wash runs to hundreds of loads. It has a tap for decanting into a smaller bottle kept by the machine, and it needs a stable spot in the cupboard, out of the sun, with the tap closed between uses. Septic safe and packaged in recyclable materials.

Directions
