Product Overview
Grown in freshwater pools in Japan, Yaeyama Pacifica is a chlorella strain selected more than 40 years ago and cultivated ever since under a patented outdoor growing system. Compared with other strains it carries higher levels of chlorophyll, Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF), protein, RNA, DNA and antioxidants.
Chlorella itself is a single-celled freshwater micro-algae, thought to have appeared around two billion years ago and found naturally in rivers and waterways, though it is now grown by aquaculture for eating. Each cell is self-sufficient, carrying out all its functions inside itself, and measures only about 2.8 microns across — roughly the size of a human red blood cell. It is small enough that a litre of chlorella in thin suspension holds over 20 billion cells. Along with other photosynthetic micro-algae, it had a hand in turning an early carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere into the roughly 20% oxygen mix we breathe now.
The tablet form means no measuring and no green-tasting drink to get through — 200 tablets to the bottle.

Caution
When starting, always take a smaller amount for the first week, with an adequate intake of pure water. It is possible some new users may not tolerate chlorella — in the event that you experience stomach upset or nausea when taking chlorella, either reduce the amount you are taking or stop taking chlorella completely and seek advice from your health care practitioner. If pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medications, always consult your health care practitioner before starting on chlorella.
Warning
If you have this sort of strong reaction, stop taking the product, it's not for you. If the vomiting is intense and prolonged, seek medical help to avoid dehydration.
