5N is a mid-brown chestnut with a neutral base, which is the shade most men reach for when the aim is to take the grey back rather than to change colour. It blends into what is already there instead of sitting on top as a flat block.
The 170 mL pack is three parts. A 60 mL colourant, a 60 mL developer to mix with it, and a 50 mL colour fixing mask to use afterwards. The colourant carries Limnanthes alba seed oil, maca root extract and ginseng root extract alongside the dye base; the mask is built on glycerin, shea butter and cetearyl olivate, which is what leaves the hair feeling soft rather than squeaky after rinsing.
Application is to dry hair, worked through evenly from roots to ends, left for the time stated on the pack, then rinsed until the water runs clear before the mask goes on. Colour holds well between applications.

Naturtint Colour Developer 60 mL contains purified water (aqua), hydrogen peroxide, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, laureth-3, oxyquinoline sulfate, and phosphoric acid.
Naturtint Colour Fixing Mask 50 mL contains purified water (aqua), glycerin, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, cetearyl alcohol, arachidyl alcohol, lactic acid, behenyl alcohol, cetearyl olivate, Butyrospermum Parkii butter, Silybum Marianum ethyl ester, Lepidium Meyenii root extract, Panax Ginseng root extract, tocopherol, myristyl alcohol, sorbitan olivate, arachidyl glucoside, coco-glucoside, myristyl glucoside, citric acid, glucose, parfum, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, and limonene.
Directions
Apply the colourant evenly to dry hair, ensuring full coverage from roots to ends. Leave on for the recommended time as directed on the packaging. Rinse thoroughly until water runs clear and follow with the included conditioner for best results.
