It is the darker counterpart to Chestnut Shadow and shares its four ingredients: Lawsonia inermis, Indigofera tinctoria, Cassia obovata and Aloe barbadensis. It suits medium to dark brown hair, and it will add warmth to hair that reads too cool. There is no ammonia, peroxide, PPD, paraben or artificial fragrance in it, so a sensitive scalp is not an obstacle.
Mix the powder with warm water to a creamy paste, apply to clean, dry hair from roots to ends, cover with a cap and leave two to four hours. Rinse thoroughly and condition well. Because the botanicals coat the strand instead of stripping it, the hair comes out smooth and glossy - the treatment and the colour are the same step.
Resistant grey wants longer processing or a layer of indigo over the top, and nothing here will lighten hair. Patch test 48 hours ahead, and mix fresh. Australian made, certified organic, vegan, cruelty free and sustainably packaged.
