The smell is the first thing people notice, or rather the absence of it. There is no ammonia and no resorcinol in the formula, and the fragrance across the whole kit is 100% natural aromatics, so colouring at home does not fill the bathroom with the eye-watering sharpness of a conventional dye.
2N is the shade just short of black: a deep, glossy brown with real depth to it, and reliable grey coverage. On dark hair it reads as natural rather than dyed.
The box holds five parts - a Clarify Shampoo to prepare the hair, the colour gel, a Colour Fix, and a Hydrate Organic Shampoo and Conditioner for afterwards. More than 75% of what is in them is certified organic and natural, including organic aloe vera leaf, comfrey leaf, chamomile flower and grapefruit fruit extracts, with hydrolysed wheat protein, panthenol, shea butter, sweet almond and jojoba oils and vitamin E carrying the conditioning.
Strand and sensitivity test first, then apply to dry hair from roots to ends, leave 30 to 40 minutes and rinse until the water runs clear before the shampoo and conditioner. Patch test 48 hours before each use. Vegan, cruelty free and sustainably packaged.

Directions
Perform a strand and sensitivity test before full application. Apply colour evenly to dry hair, starting from roots to ends. Leave for approximately 30-40 minutes, then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Follow with Tints of Nature Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner for best results.
