About the Coconut

Coconuts tree generally takes up to five to six years to grow and produce the precious fruit after the planting of the tree. However, for the fruit to be its best and flourish the tree would have to be 12 to 13 years of age.

Coconuts grow on the tops of large palm trees, don't be fooled by the name. The coconut is considered a fruit and not actually a nut.

The Coconuts water can be found in the centre of the young green coconuts. Coconut water forms naturally in the fruit and holds 94% water and barely any fat. Containing electrolytes and natural salts like potassium and magnesium. The nourishing coconut water is considered natures own sports drink. (s)
